Our Accounts Team
KDC has strong financial foundations and it operates its own efficient and accurate weekly payroll for all its contractors. This is not out-sourced to another accounting firm, but is carried out by our own in-house Accounts team. PAYE Contractors Holiday Pay
Under the European Working Time Regulations 1998, a contractor is entitled to 28 days paid leave per complete leave year, inclusive of bank and public holidays. He/she will accrue a holiday accrual of 12.07% of their hourly rate for each hour worked. The accrued element will be displayed on.
- The holiday pay year will run from 1st January to 31st December each year
- The contractor accrues holiday pay from day 1 of the contract
- A contractor will accrue 0.603 days holiday per week
- A contractor will accrue 12.07% of their pre-holiday rate pay per week
- The contractor will receive holiday pay for the number of days they have claimed (up to the amount that has been accrued)
- The contractor must claim, and take, their full holiday entitlement per year
- If a contract ends, then any accrued holiday unpaid at that point will be paid to the contractor
Claiming Holiday
When a contractor takes holiday, he/she will submit a signed Holiday request Form, authorised by the client, confirming their holiday request and confirming that the holiday has been taken.
- The contractor is required to give at least twice the length of the period of leave that he wishes to take as notice
- Bank holiday and Public Holidays shall count as part of the contractor's holiday entitlement if they are not required to be worked by the client
- If the client has a closedown and the contractor is not required to work, the closedown shall count as part of the contractor's holiday entitlement
- The contractor will receive holiday pay for the number of days they have taken(up to the amount that has been accrued)
