We have extensive experience in electrical cable loom outsourcing and have worked on many large projects. A recent major project included air to air refuelling pods for Cobham Plc where we were able to provide full loom assembly drawings, bill of materials, wiring schematic, labour estimates and weight estimates to the clients request. This project was completed using HarnWare V5 allowing us to focus on the lightest possible solution.

HarnWare V5 is a CAD based electrical wiring harness design software, produced by Tyco Electronics. Created to allow quick and simple electronic looms to be designed using a substantial bank of standard components.

Upon completion of the harness design, KDC can use HarnWare V5 to produce a general assembly drawing, a wire list, a fully itemised bill of materials, a wiring schematic, a wiring schedule, a labour estimate, a harness weight estimate, a marker page, a 3D model, a lay-up board and more.

Advances in technology are causing the convergence of all design disciplines, including a higher level of interaction between the electronic and mechanical design processes, creating the need for more efficient systems to facilitate team collaboration.
