    Job Title: Supply Operations Manager

    Reporting to: Operations Manager

    Role Description:
    You will be the primary interface with the nominated Supplier(s) and responsible for the relationship between the supplier and company. You will be fully responsible for managing the purchase phase of the supply chain core process and deliver equipments to projects on time, to cost and fulfilling all performance and quality requirements.
    You will provide support to all aspects of the Supply Chain process for equipments and participate in schedule and cost improvement initiatives.

    Responsibilities
    • OQOT delivery of equipments from suppliers
    • Day-to-day management of contract implementation (multi-project, international); timely and accurate reporting to PSMs; facilitate appropriate technical interaction between project (MSC/MPC) and supplier
    • Acquiring in-depth knowledge of supplier leading to effective control of supplier
    • Identifying risks and proposing/agreeing mitigating actions
    • Quality responsibility for EQSR, PDR, CDR, MRR, TRR, TRB/SRB & DRB. Management of NCR's and RFWD and chairing of NRB's. Quality interface for MIP's, EEE and M&P. To provide support to quality audits as required.
    • Completion of annual supplier evaluation (with appropriate support)
    • Local follow-up/support to development plans (defined by SDM)

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Advanced level of Microsoft office applications

    KDC are working with a large Aerospace Engineering organisation in Bournemouth who are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join their team on an initial 12 month contract.

    You will provide technical knowledge to projects and bids and actively contribute to the development of their technology and associated engineering processes.

    Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
    • Operate at Special Mission in accordance with the SHE standards. Identify where the SHE Standards are applicable to appointed operations/tasks and apply safe systems of work identified.
    • Contribute to definition/development of Systems Engineering technical strategy
    • Contribute to and lead customer meetings where appropriate
    • Team leading - facilitate maximizing the performance of the team through motivation, conflict management, good communication
    • Contribute to bids and estimating - increase the chance of successful bid by providing appropriate/quality input to the satisfaction of the Bid Manager and other stakeholders
    • Act as technical lead and design authority for nominated projects through the entire lifecycle

    Required skills and experience:
    • Previous experience as a Systems Engineer with an Aerospace, Defence, Electronics environment (Complex Safety Critical Systems).
    • Good working knowledge of CRADLE or DOORS (Requirements Management Tool)
    • A background in IT / Hardware / Software (not mechanical)
    • Hands on networking skills (including knowledge of routers and their configuration) and network design/architecture skills.
    • Domain knowledge, with experience in the application of systems engineering to the entire product life cycle from inception to delivery
    • Proven track record and technical experience in systems such as radar, electronic warfare, surveillance and communications systems
    • Knowledge and experience of Engineering Design Reviews
    • Experience of regulatory requirements and procedures related to air traffic management and airborne systems is desirable

    As a key member of the design team, you will be responsible for:
    • Performing airframe structural configuration layout and detail design including structural layouts, preliminary sizing, joint layouts and part design, utilizing composite and metallic materials.

    Successful candidates will have the following:
    • Bachelors degree or equivalent in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering or related field from an accredited university.
    • Minimum of 3 years work experience in the aerospace industry, composite manufacturing or related field.
    • Experience with CATIA V5 with a focus on Generative Surface Design, Part Design and Assemblies. Experience in Unigraphics or Pro-E will be considered based on supporting background.
    • Experience with CATIA V5 CPD (Composite Part Design) and/or FiberSIM is highly advantageous.
    • Desirable experience with the composite part detail process, including composites stacking sequence lamination theory, honeycomb core, bonded assemblies, manufacturing assembly and fabrication processes, post-cure machining operations.
    • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and written.
