KDC are working closely with a Design Organisation based in the South West looking to add a Design Assurance Manager to their team.
Working in a close knit environment, you will be responsible for administering the companies design assurance system. You will ensure the efficiency of the design assurance system through the Independent Monitoring System, through an independent auditing and reporting system, to monitor the continued compliance and effectiveness of the entire Design Organisation and its processes with the requirements of EASA Part 21.
• Completed suitable education/training of ISO 9001 and EASA Part 21 Subpart J auditing processes. An understanding of UK CAA A8-21 and UK MAA DAOS requirements would also be an advantage.
• Minimum 2 years auditing experience within previous position to monitor compliance with the above requirements, or an approved EASA Form 4 Holder in a previous role.
• A full understanding of the regulatory requirements of EASA Part 21 Subpart J for Design Assurance.
• Be of a character that displays a thorough methodical approach and shows attention to detail.
• Maintain an un-compromised position towards auditing compliance of process and procedures to the requirements of the company's EASA and DAOS Scopes of Approval.
• Computer literate (conversant with MS Office software such as Word or Excel, and AutoCAD computer aided design software), and familiar with EASA, CAA and FAA websites.

KDC are currently looking for Composite Stress Engineers for a contract based a client in Germany developing an exciting new aircraft. The role will involve producing analysis and stress reports for all areas of the aircraft including primary structures.
With a sound knowledge of Airworthiness requirements, ideally around CS-23, you will have a good understanding of stress analysis techniques including classical hand calculations and FEA.

Are you a Supplier Quality Engineer looking for a progressive role in a within a purchasing team that focuses on NPI, supplier performance and development? The primary responsibility is to help in pro-actively engaging the Purchasing function & supply base in the New Product Introduction (NPI) process.
Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
-Drive proactive project management through each project phase, to deliver a seamless series production launch.
-Assist with ensuring active global Purchasing participation throughout the design process / stages of NPI (Strategy Phase, Concept Phase, Development Phase, Pilot Phase, and Production Phase).
-Specific attention to be given to program monitoring and preparing material for reporting on group performance at regular intervals, dictated by project gateways and updates to KPI's at regular review points.
-Control extends upstream to ensure material is ordered to support PD builds in a timely manner, through to governance to ensure supplier PPAP submission performance is in line with plan
-Ongoing role development will be with the Fabrications Supplier Development Engineer, where the primary responsibility of the incumbent is to help with development of new and existing suppliers worldwide, in terms of Quality, Cost, Logistics, Development, Management (QCLDM).
-Provide leadership in resolution of quality problems associated with purchased materials from CPI through to warranty cost recovery related to supplier quality.
-Leadership in Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) activity, engaging Engineering personnel to achieve cost effective, manufacturable designs, resulting in robust Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) completion.
-Leadership: - This position has no direct reports. The incumbent must exhibit strong leadership qualities to ensure that team members and suppliers agree to and deliver against commitments in a timely manner. In addition, the incumbent will be required to represent the Purchasing team in both internal and external review meetings.
Skills, experience & qualifications you will have;
-Degree in Engineering / Manufacturing or equivalent extensive experience
-Excellent computer skills i.e. data analysis (Excel) and presentation (PowerPoint) necessary
-Ability to communicate at all levels and the ability to listen to others, along with the ability to work on own initiative is important to the job.
-Solid ability to use and demonstrate statistical and problem-solving tools is required. Skills, experience & qualifications you may have;
-Engineering or manufacturing background plus familiarity with manufacturing processes used to produce components and assemblies for Caterpillar Products is desirable.
