Aeromobil, the flying car company, has unveiled its new model today and is now in a position to take pre-orders.  While this announcement is big news, Aeromobile had promised to offer a commercially available flying car in 2017 – however, orders won’t actually ship until 2020.

However, the Aeromobil is very, very cool.  It switches from car mode to air mode in under three minutes.  It can drive up to 434 miles on its hybrid engine with top speeds of 100mph on the ground and 224mph in the air.

Safety is obviously a critical factor with such a vehicle – parachutes are included as standard to float the car back down to earth and airbags are included too.
