Job Description

Are you an Avionic Chief Engineer or CVE with experience in avionic and electrical design looking for a challenge and new opportunity?

KDC are currently working closely with an aircraft company who carry out design and certification services for some of the world's leading airlines, aircraft lease companies, and maintenance organisations.

This position will offer the opportunity to work within a company that design and certify various aircraft structures and cabin interiors from the conceptual phase through to final approval.

This opportunity also offers exciting room for progression and development.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to further their skills in the following areas:

·Provide leadership and direction to personnel.
·Day to day management of the project workload and progress reports.
·Customer liaison.
·CAA/EASA point of contact.
·Preparing estimates and quotes.
·Approval of certification plans and records.
·Classification of projects IAW EASA guidelines (21.A.91 & 101)
·Approval of system safety and equipment assessments.
·Technical reviews of design projects.
·Completion of Aircraft surveys.
·Personnel assessments and performance reviews.
·Preparation, checking and/or approval of project design and certification documents, including EWIS/EZAP.
·MAA DAOS Avionic/Electrical Design signatory.

Preferred skills and experience:

·Background in avionics and electrical systems (experience with Interior lighting, IFE, flight and navigation systems is desirable)
·Previous experience in a similar role as a CVE signatory for avionics and electrical systems.
·Mentoring and providing technical leadership to small teams in a design office environment.
·Strong interpersonal skills and able to liaise directly with customers at a technical level.
·EASA Part 21J and MAA DAOS approval knowledge.
·Thorough methodical approach to design activities and exceptional attention to detail.
·Be able to provide evidence of previous active participation in design and design certification processes, and component or equipment development and qualification programmes.
