Job Description

Do you have a background in avionic systems and development? Are you looking for a new challenge on a busy project? Then this could be for you!

KDC are currently looking for experienced engineers to drive Systems Engineering work packages associated with the integration of Avionic Equipment into Refuelling Pods and Fuselage Units.

Key Responsibilities
  • As a Project/Systems Engineer your key responsibilities will include:
  • Manage all aspects of Systems Integration activities for avionic equipment
  • Management of product development to cost, schedule and quality
  • Effective risk management
  • System, sub-system and equipment architecture definition, design and analysis
  • Interface definition and management
  • Requirements capture, allocation, derivation, validation and verification
  • Preparation of technical specification and other project documentation
  • Preparation and presentation of technical design reviews
  • Systems and equipment integration
  • Problem solving during all phases of the project
  • Qualification of equipment and systems
  • Technical management of external suppliers and outsource providers
  • Technical management of specialists such as design, performance and ILS engineers
  • Liaison with customers, internal and external
  • Compliance with company process and also with legal & regulatory requirements
  • Support process excellence and continuous improvement in programme execution activities
  • Report progress to the program management and other business entities as requested by LCM and company process.
  • To maintain good communication and working relationships with adjacent engineering teams

  • Avionics and Databus (MIL-STD-1553, ARINC429, CAN).
  • Interface definition and management
  • Experience of hardware and software development
  • 10+ years of experience in an Aerospace environment within Systems & New Product Development
  • Relevant degree or equivalent
  • Experience in EWIS, looms / wiring harnesses is also desirable
