Job Description

This organisation are a market leader within the Aerospace Engineering environment. They are seeking a Quality control manager to be based in Wimborne, Dorset. This organisation is able to bring complex projects to market quickly with minimal risk. You will be required to effectively manage a team of Quality inspectors who monitor and validate the Quality parts and assemblies.
Day to day duties will include but not limited to:
·Managing the goods inwards product quality and conducting paperwork checks
·Managing the inspection of partial of fully completed Assemblies.
·Inspection of compliance to drawing and process
·Raise and manage NCRs for non-conforming products detected at the goods-in stage
·Provide ad-hoc business support against specific demand for Inspection/measurement of product where required
·Liaise with Suppliers and Manufacturing staff
·Manage the review of supplier generated FAI's and Grade 1 part control plans and amend MRP and VisualFAIR systems accordingly
·Manage compilation of FAIRs for internal assembly work to provide evidence of conformity of process and product.
·Work with Supplier Quality Engineers and Quality Engineering and their management to drive Quality Improvement.

When applying for this role it is essential that you hold the following skills and qualifications;
·Experience working in an Inspection environment
·Supervisory experience
·Internal Auditor desirable
·Degree/HND level or equivalent
·Familiar with AS9100 & AS9102 FAIR requirements
·Ability to read and interrogate engineering drawings including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
·Familiar with general non-conformance processes
·Excellent communication skills
·Microsoft Office packages
