Job Description

This organisation delivers a range of complex systems and technical services to the aerospace and marine markets. They are seeking a Project Manager to be based in Bristol on a permanent basis.
You will be involved in the full project lifecycle from assisting with bids to planning, monitoring and controlling the allocated projects across the Aerospace and Marine system business units. You will be reporting to the Head of Programmes and manging a portfolio of projects in terms of time, cost and quality. This role would suit an experienced Project Manager who has previous engineering experience within Aerospace, Maritime or Defence sector. You will have the opportunity to work for a fast-moving company with a worldwide customer base.

When applying for this role it is essential that you hold the following skills and qualifications;
·Degree qualified in science, technology, engineering or mathematics related discipline
·Proficient in the use of Microsoft Project and Excel
·Experienced Project Manager who is comfortable in managing medium sized projects of master production, scheduling, quality control, and conformance / non-conformance management.
·Experienced Project Manager within technical projects, systems / software development or management of dynamic analysis and modelling tasks
·Prince 2 Qualified
·Knowledge of aerospace standards
·Ability to lead and mentor junior Engineers & Project Assistants
·An effective communicator, both written and verbal to ensure satisfactory stakeholder management
·Strong organisational skills and the ability to work in a challenging technical environment
·Previous experience within aerospace, maritime or defence engineering environment

Your main responsibilities will include but not limited to;
·Participate in the bid phase, supporting the Business Unit Managers or leading the bids directly
·Preparation of all Project start up documentation including; Project briefs, Project Management plans, Project schedules, Project budgets and tracking registers
·Track and monitor the progress of the project to achieve Project outcomes in terms or Time, Cost and Quality
·Stakeholder management to both customers and suppliers
·Reporting and raising any project issues, risks and potential problems
·Control of Project Invoicing and any contract changes
