Job Description

This organisation are a market leader within the Aerospace Engineering environment. They are seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to be based in Wimborne, Dorset. You will be establishing and developing a supplier approval system, conduction audits and driving root cause analysis for increased supplier capability.
Day to day duties will include but not limited to:
·Ensure quality assurance for new and existing suppliers, through audits, source and sign off inspections and change control process management.
·Develop supplier relationships to support improvement plans, quality and costs.
·Drive supplier non-conformance and root cause analysis
·Ensure suppliers quality is kept in line with company procedures and relevant regulatory standards (AS/EN 9100)
·Develop supplier capability and ensure effective flow of quality requirements through product lifecycles.
·Conduct site visits to suppliers, this will include travel within the UK and occasionally to Europe.
·Analyse, track and report actions taken when vendor products are returned or rejected.
·Prepare documentation for inspection and test procedures.
·Work with the IPT to support business requirements

When applying for this role it is essential that you hold the following skills and qualifications;
·Previous experience as Supplier Quality Engineer within a technology environment - Mechanical or Aerospace will be highly regarded.
·Experience of working within a supply chain environment
·Proven background of driving root cause and taking corrective or preventive action with suppliers
·Proven background in Quality Assurance, understanding of quality tools and techniques including auditing.
·Technically minded and electronic engineer knowledge
·The ability to understand and read engineering drawings
·Knowledge and understanding of AS/EN 9100 and NADCAP
·Supplier relationship management
This is a permanent position which will allow you to be responsible for Supplier Quality performance. You will receive a competitive salary and free onsite parking plus other benefits.
