Job Description

This organisation are a market leader within the Aerospace Engineering environment. They are seeking experienced Quality Engineer to be based in Wimborne, Dorset on a contract basis. You will be supporting a large Air to Air Refuelling tanker programme and require Quality Engineers who ideally have experience of working with major aircraft manufactures.
Day to day duties will include but not limited to:
·Perform First Article Inspections (FAI) on aerospace equipment onsite at the factory in Wimborne or at the equipment supplier's site to AS9102 (ideally AS 9102B).
·Execution of internal audit program in order to ensure adherence to EN 9100, EN9110, EASA Part 21 (G) and Part 145 and associated customer approvals.
·Drive product and process non-conformance investigations and associated root cause analysis activities including concession management
·Provide support and assistance to suppliers in the development and completion of corrective actions
·Manage and host customer audits and source inspection activities
When applying for this role it is essential that you hold the following skills and qualifications;
·Experience operating as a Quality Engineer in EASA Part-21(G) & EASA Part-145 environments. Background in Quality Assurance and thorough understanding of Quality tools and techniques
·Aerospace experience with knowledge of AS9100 / AS9102
·Root cause analysis and corrective action experience, including use of lean tools such as 8D.
·Experience of first article inspection physical inspections, internal audits and non-conformance (NCR) management.
·Conversant with Quality procedures and inspection techniques.
·Suitable technical qualification with relevant experience
·Working knowledge of Aerospace standards ISO91001, AS9100, AS9102, EASA Part 21 & EASA Part 145).
·Manufacturing background with proven experience as a quality engineer.

You will be self-motivated and well organised. You will hold good analytical and strong problems solving skills with the ability to work effectively on your own and as part of a team. You may be required to travel from time to time to supplier sites.
The successful candidate will be working with ITAR material and will need to be security cleared. Initially this is a 6 month contract with the opportunity to extend. Competite hourly rate and free parking is available. This role is to start ASAP.
