KDC Resource are working with a leading organisation in the Aerospace Industry that specialise in supplying advanced composite and metallic solutions! They are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join their team in Somerset!
The Role
This role with give you the opportunity to support the Quality Manager by ensuring that all Company Customer and Regulatory Approval requirements are implemented, managed, monitored, and assured; maintaining and further developing the Business processes and procedures to meet the requirements of ISO9001, AS9100, ISO14001, OHSAS18001, NADCAP AC7114, and AC7118.

This position would suit someone who is looking to develop their career in the following areas:
·Conduct assigned Internal Quality & Special Process Audits in accordance with the published Audit Schedule; against ISO9001, AS9100, NADCAP AC7118 and Customer requirements
·Assess working practices, manufacturing documentation, operator training, records, reports & competence against specific requirements
·Work with Operations, Quality and Engineering teams to identify improvement actions necessary to maintain compliance
·Support Customer and Regulatory 3rd Party Audit Activities of IMS & Special Processes; supporting the review of audit findings & supporting NCR Owners with closure actions
·Support the review and development of IMS processes to obtain and/or maintain Customer and Regulatory approvals
·Support the review and measurement of process effectiveness of IMS processes
·Prepare Quality Plans as required and maintain throughout the duration of the Contracts
·Provide support during Root Cause Corrective Action activities - product & process related
·Represent Quality Function at Bid & Project Review Meetings
·Support the administration & coordination of the Concessions and SMDRs processes
·Support the administration & coordination of the Approved Stamp Control process
·Ensure Quality requirements are reviewed, clarified and agreed during Bid, Contract and Impact Review
·Ensure Customer Acceptance Criteria is understood and compliant for all new product (NPI)
·First Article Inspection Reports to AS9102 requirements

Desirable requirements
·Significant experience with the ISO9001 and AS9100 Quality Management System preferably in an aerospace or automotive environment.
·Recognised qualification in Management System auditing.
·NADCAP experience/awareness (AC7114 and AC7118).
·Communicates assertively and professionally at all levels with internal & external contacts; demonstrates strong verbal & written communication skills.
·Highly accurate, strong attention to detail and methodical approach; able to write thorough and clear reports.
·Must be results-driven and have the ability to manage multiple priorities, working to tight deadlines.
·Computer literate, Windows based.
·A good team player with a flexible attitude to work load.
