Job Description

Are you a Senior Project Engineer with extensive knowledge in construction?

KDC are working closely with a leading Aerospace and Defence company who are looking for a Senior Project Engineer to join their Buildings and Construction Team in Broughton.

You will be working closely with the design teams, procurement and the appointed contractors to ensure that all projects produce the required standard of quality, within the specified constraints of time and cost and meets all regulatory and code of practice deliverables. You will be liaising with all Facility Management and Real Estate functions to ensure handover is completed and information is shared and communicated.

Key Responsibilities:
• Liaise with the team project team members to ensure compliance to SQCDP Target Conditions
• Plan and monitor the project status by liaising with the Project Team to assure the overall direction and integrity of the projects
• Manage the risks, including the development of mitigation plans
• Takes responsibilities for overall progress of projects and actions where necessary
• Ensure that the internal Facilities Management & Real Estate MFT is in place with regular reviews (Weekly / Monthly)
• Be responsible for change / variation process control and liaise with QS and team members to ensure compliance to the approved budget
• Agree technical and quality strategy with appropriate members of the Project
• Identify and obtain any support and advice required for the management, planning and control of the project
• Advise the Head of Business of any deviations from plan and recommend corrective action and help prepare any appropriate Exception Plans
• Ensure all Project Issues are properly reported via escalations to the Head of Business and reported back through the SQCDP (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, People) start of shift
• Ensure that evaluation of Project Issues that arise within your project with recommended action
• Ensure that quality controls of the team's work are planned and performed correctly
• Maintain and ensure the maintenance of team files or folders

Experience and Qualifications

• Degree Level qualification in Civil or Mechanical and Electrical Engineering
• Extensive experience with a project delivery position and construction knowledge (7-10 years)
• Experience working on airfields airside would be advantageous
• Experience of managing large complex projects in a production environment
