Job Description

Do you have a background in Airworthiness Design? Would you like to work for a well established DOA? Then this could be for you!

KDC are working with a Part 21J approved Design Organisation based in the South that provide installations and modifications across a variety of aircraft including small and large, fixed and rotary wing. They are currently seeking an Airworthiness Design Engineer to join their team to be responsible for airworthiness and certification activities.

Main Responsibilities:
• Preparation of design certification documents
• Liaison with customers to address design requirements/delivery dates/queries
• Checking design certification documents
• Maintaining an awareness of current aeronautical practices/issues
• Ensuring that all design procedures are adhered to
• Participating with Regulatory audits as required
• Assist in the developing internal procedures and processes
• Assist in the approval of external testing facilities
• Peer group training, e.g. mentoring new staff, developing existing staff knowledge
• Liaison with European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) or tasked National Aviation Authority (NAA)

Detailed requirements for the position:
• Reviewing and defining aircraft certification basis
• Compiling / checking certification documents e.g Compliance Checklist and Compliance Checklist
• Compiling / checking test plans, witness testing and compiling test reports
• Reviewing equipment approvals, e.g. TSO, ETSO
• Compiling / checking Equipment Approval Reports
