Job Description
Having already received $130m worth of funding since 2013, our client is looking to add a AIV Engineer to the team based in Tokyo, Japan.
Responsibilities
oResponsible for following tasks related to Satellite AIV (Assembly, Integration and Verification) activities under the guidance of the AIV lead and, work closely with the mission and systems engineer(s) and the project manager.
As a test engineer, lead all major AIV activities, satellite assembly, integration, functional and environmental testing including mechanical tests- vibration, shock, MOI (Moment of inertia); thermal tests, EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility) tests.
Create and maintain satellite AIV procedures, plans, workflows, and schedules in accordance with technical and programmatic requirements.
Coordinate with assembly and test technicians.
Evaluate AIV results against requirements.
Essential Skills
oMinimum 3 years of experience in space system projects, in later phase of project (production and verification).
oFamiliarity with space industry standards and approaches.
oExperience in one major spacecraft environmental testing activity; Mechanical, thermal / thermal vacuum, EMC.
oTime and schedule management skills.
oFlexibility to adapt and work in a fast paced and changing environment, and able to accommodate those changes in the work schedule.
oEnglish language capability TOEIC 600+.
oNear native level Japanese skills required to read and write test procedures in Japanese (for AIV activities in Japan).
