Job Description
Having already received $130m worth of funding since 2013, our client is looking to add a AIV Lead Engineer to the team based in Tokyo, Japan.
Responsibilities
oManagement of AIV (Assembly, Integration and Verification) team and its activities in the system AIV phase of satellite missions and projects.
oCoordinate and work closely with missions and systems managers, subsystem managers and the project manager.
oResponsible for planning and execution of all major AIV activities including satellite assembly, integration, functional testing and environmental testing (Mechanical Tests: vibration, shock, and MOI- Moment of inertia; Thermal Tests: EMC- Electromagnetic Compatibility tests).
oCreate and maintain satellite AIV plans, workflow schedules and procedures in accordance with technical and programmatic requirements.
oMaintain projects schedule, managing facilities, human resources, etc., and able to accommodate changes in plan and schedule in relation to changing circumstances.
oCreate and maintain test and verification records and results.
oEvaluate AIV results against requirements.
Essential Skills
oMinimum 5 years of experience in space system projects, in later phase of project (production and verification).
oSystem level knowledge and experience in space system projects.
oFamiliarity with space industry standards and approaches.
oExperience in one major spacecraft environmental testing activity; mechanical, thermal, EMC.
oTeam and schedule management skills.
oFlexibility to adapt and work in a fast paced and changing environment, and able to accommodate those changes in the work schedule.
oEnglish language capability TOEIC 800+.
oBusiness level Japanese to communicate with Japanese AIV team members.
