Our client is a world leading specialist providing tailor made engineering services, advanced composite repair services, and asset management solutions that ensure regulatory compliance to global airlines.
Due to their continued growth and expansion they are looking for experienced Buyers to join their team in Ireland on a permanent basis.
This role will support customers whilst working with cross functional departments and suppliers to ensure the most cost-effective supply of Aircraft Materials, all the time ensuring a seamless supply chain process from ordering to delivery.
The duties and responsibilities:
·Place purchase orders with the best price for materials for Customer projects and direct shipments to customers and various global locations.
·Review Bill of material provided by engineering dept. or customers for purpose of quotation for Sales proposals.
·Provision of Material based on the Engineering Bill of Material (BOM) for contracted projects.
·Extensive knowledge and operational use of online order portals (Boeing, Airbus, ILS, Satair etc.)
·Responsible for tracking Material from suppliers to the dock by liaising with transport and warehousing ensuring on time arrival.
·Deliver innovative continuous improvements to ensure customer satisfaction, quality of service and ensure competitiveness is maintained in line with business expectations.
Skills and Competencies
·Motivated self-starter with strong organizational and time management skills.
·Ability to work independently without direct supervision to tight deadlines.
·Flexibility and ability to work well as part of a team are essential
·Proficient on ILS, Airbus world, The Boeing parts page/online order portals
·Experience in maintaining records of incoming and outgoing materials and stock control with excellent focus on attention to detail
·Previous experience on ERP systems
·Materials qualification would be an advantage (IIPMM/IPICS)
