Job Description

KDC are currently working with one of the few companies in the world proposing to aid in the removal of orbital debris through the provision of End of Life (EOL) and Active Debris Removal (ADR) services. In addition to providing a technical solution, Our client is helping to define the business case for this service and are working with national space agencies, international institutions, non-profit organizations, insurance companies and satellite operators to develop norms, regulations and incentives that contribute to the responsible use of space.

Having already received $130m worth of funding since 2013, our client is looking to add a Communication / RF Engineer to the team based in Tokyo, Japan.

Responsibilities
oProcure RF Communication components such as transponder, RF transceiver, antenna and coaxial switches.
oManage procurement and shipping status with vendors and manufacturers.
oConduct component-level testing such as vibration, thermal vacuum/cycle and electrical tests.
oConduct communication subsystem-level tests.
oCoordinate interface between communication and other subsystems including command and data handling(C&DH), guidance navigation control (GNC) and power subsystems.
oConduct compatibility test between communication subsystem and ground station.
oCreate and maintain documents related to testing, design and operation.

Essential Skills
oDiploma; Bachelor or Master degree in electrical engineering or relevant area.
o3+ years of experience in satellite communication system.
oExtensive experience in testing of communication systems.
oExpert knowledge in analogue, digital and RF circuits.
oBasic knowledge in mechanical engineering, cable and harnessing.
oEnglish language capability TOEIC 600+.
oJapanese native, project requirement.

oExperience in designing communication components by self.
oExperience in leading design/testing of communication subsystem.
oExperience working with/in global team.
