Are you a Manufacturing Engineer with experience in the Aerospace industry?

Are you seeking an opportunity to work within a forward thinking company who are pioneering the world's very first electrical vertical take-off and landing vehicle?

Well that is exactly what KDC are looking for. We need innovative and self-reliant engineers who have the ability to set up composite production processes within a new composite factory setup.

In this role you will be given the opportunity to work in Germany, reporting directly into the VP of Production. The successful candidates will have a Degree in Mechanical Engineering/Manufacturing or similar and have experience working within a composite manufacturing environment.

To give you an idea of the type of engineer we are looking for please see some of the day to day tasks below:

·Drive Design for make and Design to Value for the type certification standard
·Lead capability acquisition of new technologies, systems and factories for the production of primary structure components
·Support supplier selection, establishment of a supply chain and introduction of the product into the supply chain and domestic factories
·Shop floor support & continuous improvement across the entire production network
·Specification and provision of new production machinery/equipment for company plants
·Spearhead the establishment of pilot production stations to develop stable production processes and prove rate capability

The ideal candidate will have the following experience and skills:

·Holds a mechanical engineering degree in automotive/ aerospace or similar
·Experience in a Manufacturing and/or Industrial Engineering role in a modern high-volume production environment for composite components
·Experience in composite design, development and manufacturing, including material, equipment/machinery, and process specification.
·Experience in high-volume, automated manufacturing including dynamic planning & execution during production ramp up
·Capable of extended cross-functional working, including Engineering, Purchase, and Quality, Manufacturing, and Facility management functions
·Lean skills - driving continuous improvements, ergonomics, HS&E and process capability
·IT Skills
