Job Description

KDC are now looking for a number of Development Engineers to join one of our busiest clients based over in Wimborne. This is a great opportunity to continue your career in the Aerospace industry whilst helping complete a massive project. So, if you are looking for a new opportunity this could be the role for you!
Their new Development Engineer will be responsible for applying discipline domain expertise to the design, development and delivery of new products processes and technologies. They will typically be part of an Integrated Product Team (IPT) and will contribute to the performance of the IPT to ensure that the performance expectations are met. The lucky candidate will employ the appropriate discipline processes, practices and tools to ensure that responsibilities are completed to meet the required project requirements.
Daily Tasks:
·Applying engineering principles to a variety of well-defined problems.
·Keeping to the discipline domain knowledge to the design, development and delivery of new products, processes and technologies on time, within budget and with required quality.
·Continued development of discipline competence and expertise.
·Application of, and compliance with, engineering processes and practices including the engineering framework, LCM and regulatory requirements.
·Identification of opportunities for improvement in discipline processes, practices and tools.
·Collaboration with IPT members to address project requirements.
·Collaboration with discipline peers within the BU and across the enterprise to share and learn best practice.
·Propose new technologies, materials and processes to maintain and grow our technology differentiations.
·Propose and develop new products and contribute to technical proposals.
Skills & Experience:
·Strong experience of Qualification Testing within an Aerospace environment
·Aware of RTCA 160 & Mil-Stan 810 Standards
·Knowledge of FAA Regulations
·Previous experience writing Qualification Test Reports
·Airworthiness Regulations
·FAA and Conformity Products / Tests
·Strong knowledge of Endurance Testing & Complex Test activities
·Environmental Test experience
