Job Description

Due to a large project win within our KDC Projects Group, we are currently seeking a number of high quality Fatigue and Damage Tolerance F&DT Stress Engineers to join our team. The group you will join work across a variety of stress analysis projects on the Airbus flagship programme the A350XWB.

These are permanent positions and for successful candidates, KDC can offer a supportive and flexible environment. There will be potential to progress your career with potential routes to gaining signatory and team lead positions.

The role will offer the opportunity to develop your skills across different wing areas such as, wingtip, leading edge, trailing edge, spar and ribs across the following areas.

·Assessment of damages reported from test and their impact on the structure using ISAMI and other Airbus F&DT methodologies.
·Other general F&DT tasking as appropriate to the A350 CPD environment, critical fatigue life calculations, damage tolerances etc.
·Writing Stress reports in Airbus Stress Dossier format.
·FEM interrogation and potential modification and returns.

Candidate's will need to have a number of the following skills and will get the opportunity to develop the full skillset below.

·Minimum of 5 years Aircraft Structures experience.
·3 years' experience in Fatigue & Damage Tolerance (F&DT) gained within the Airbus supply chain.
·ISAMI F&DT Modules
·Nastran
·Patran
·Stress Dossier reporting

The following skills would be highly advantageous:

·Hypermesh - and / or meshing experience.
·Test correlation in an Airbus environment.
·Airbus F&DT procedural knowledge
·Airbus FEM Process and procedural knowledge.
