Junior Airframe Systems Engineer
KDC are now recruiting for one of the largest clients in the urban air mobility sector. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Systems Engineer with an expertise in EASA Part 21J to join their team in Germany. If you are looking for a compelling new opportunity and have experience in working with composite structures, then this could be the role for you.
 
Our Client
Our client is an industry leader in the development of electrical air taxis that take off and land vertically (eVTOL). They plan to offer an air taxi service that can save people time by flying them directly to their destination.
 
The Role
This position has surfaced as our client is looking for an experienced airframe systems engineer to join an established eVTOL company based in Germany. They are looking for an engineer with proficiency in Part 21J and EASA DOA functions. The ideal candidate will have experience with structural design in composite structures. The successful applicant will assist in development of the airframe and mechanical systems, evaluate the airframe, define and document requirements as well as assist in defining test procedures. You will be an integral part of the airframe development team.
 
 
Role Requirements
 
  • Assist in the development of airframe systems
  • Evaluate airframe regarding weight, safety, costs, and production
  • Define and document requirements on the system, sub-system, and component level
  • Provide assistance on the supplier coordination activities.
  • Assist in defining test protocols, airframe system tests and evaluate test results on component, sub-system, and system levels
 
Qualifications
 
  • Bachelor's degree in the area of Aerospace Design or comparable subject
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Systems Engineer or similar 
  • Proficiency in Part 21J and EASA DOA functions
  • Structural design experience in composite structures
  • Experience with EASA Certification Specifications
