Job Description
The role will offer the individual the opportunity to champion the use of Lean Manufacturing tools and techniques to implement projects and improvements within the manufacturing cells. The aim of this is to support the businesses significant growth targets over the next 2 year.
Growing your Lean experience within a high mix manufacturing opportunity there will be a variety of projects to deliver and the opportunity to either gain your Six Sigma Qualification or progress on to Black Belt.
This will cover
·Supporting strategic business goals in line with Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Culture.
·The identification and elimination of waste.
·Defining and implementing improvement activities.
·Supporting a positive culture change through engagement of individuals at all levels in the improvement process
·Designing and implementing of flow processes across manufacturing
·Development and support of Lean material management techniques (Kanban, SWIP, VMI)
·Support definition and implementation of Kaizen improvement techniques
·Implementation and support of appropriate TPM systems across the business
Candidates will be expected to demonstrable ability in the following
·Proven ability to manage multiple projects effectively
·Excellent problem solving skills and able to drive through improvements.
·Strong change management skills
·Hands on approach
·Good presentation skills, able to present clear business case for improvement
·Focused and target driven with a positive, can-do attitude
·A self-starter, motivated and able to positively motivate others
·PC literate - Excel, Word, PowerPoint
