Job Description

Production Interface Officer


  1. Responsible for ensuring speedy allocation & distribution of spare parts across multiple Plants
  2. Collaborate closely with Customer and Company internal departments
  3. Manage communication between Company Production sites & Customer
  4. Comment/advise on improvement potential regarding the way of working between Customer and the PIT (Production Interface Team)
  5. Be responsible and accountable for the definition, implementation and reporting of key projects and/or continuous improvement programmes (within a defined area)
  6. Understand Customer expectations and needs
  7. Provide status updates to the HO PIT on hot topics and any critical problem areas
  8. Raise Purchase Orders on external Suppliers
  9. Support Spares Engineering activities
  10. Contribute towards a positive and inspiring working environment

Main activities

  1. Point of contact for Customer ordering team
  2. Plant Production Coordination (what, when, follow-up)
  3. Customer sales order follow-up (e.g. source from production, take from stock):
·Compile all required information regarding order status and delivery date
·Ensure on-time and on-quality delivery and shipment of parts
·Provide delivery to Plant updates to Certifying Staff prior to OOH Standby
·Ensure Customer packaging requirements are being followed
  1. Order for replacement if necessary
  2. Initiate and follow up FAL & Production removals
  3. Trigger the provision of commercial data (e.g. cost, lead-time) to Customer on request
·Management of interchangeability from proposal to validation, declaration and loading
·Management of alternates STS (spares technical specification) from proposal to validation, declaration and loading
·Technical support to Suppliers
·Management of concessions for Company Parts
·CAD / CATIA / Models / Drawings provisions
·Request for quotation to suppliers when needed
·Follow-up of ordering activities
·Follow-up of the manufacturing of the ordered parts



·Supply Chain working experience
·Basic understanding of aircraft manufacturing
·Basic awareness of Airline and Aircraft maintenance operations
·Ability to read and consult existing AIRBUS technical documentation
·Ordering processes & IT:
·Standard knowledge in MS office applications
·Basic knowledge of SAP
·Language: Good level of spoken and written English
·Understanding of Lean Fundamentals
