Role Description:
As part of the Wing Structures Repair Team you will be a Fatigue and Damage Tolerance Engineer supporting Wing Structural Repair activities. This is an exciting and challenging role that requires an in-depth knowledge of F&DT analysis.
As a part of this team you will need a good knowledge of fatigue and damage tolerance assessment and an ability to apply this to metallic repairs to aircraft structures. A good working knowledge of structures, gained preferably in the aerospace industry, is essential and a good understanding of aircraft production methods and processes would be beneficial.
You will ensure your tasks are completed to time, cost and quality. Additionally, you will be expected to support the repair department in initiatives such as LEAN, to ensure the continued advancement of the department to the benefit of the business.

Daily Tasks:
·High quality, integrated and certificated engineering repair solutions are provided for the airline operators and other customers.
·Create, compile and co-ordinate engineering documentation to achieve valid technical data for repairs.
·Ensure all tasks and activities required for allocated Repair Engineering tasks are correctly planned, resourced, monitored and executed to achieve required quality and customer time scales.
·Also ensure the Repair team operates effectively with the appropriate use of project management control and measures in achieving these objectives.

Skill requirements:
•Relevant background in F&DT
•Ability to quickly work towards gaining a delegated signatory level
•Ability to perform in a high pressure reactive environment
•Ability to liaise/negotiate with Design and Static Stress groups
•PC skills and a good working knowledge of Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
•Be conversant with the technical requirements for analysing repairs
•Good interpersonal and communication skills
•The ability to translate customer requirements into operational deliverables and prioritise.
