Job Description

The activity is to conceive, design and specify test rigs and procedures for hydrogen powered aircraft systems.  
 
The candidate shall have a strong grasp of test and experimental methods, data analysis as well as the ability to specify test rig requirements, design, modify, manage and implement the test means, run the tests, analyse the data, develop conclusions and present these to the review bodies. The candidate must have excellent digital and communications abilities.
 
Responsibilities will include;

• Lead the development of the test means.
• Validate top-level test requirements and derive the test specifications for hydrogen system testing.
• Write test requirement and test specification documents.
• Design the test process and write the procedures.
• Specify test equipment, and overall rig design to meet test requirements.
• Manage suppliers and internal customers.
• Commission the test rig and run tests.
• Analyse the test results / data, develop conclusions and present them.

Essential Skills

• Aerospace systems test engineering. environment or suitable equivalent with cryogenics experience.
• Experience with test requirements, test data analysis and evaluation.
• Ability to adapt and work flexibly in a constantly evolving knowledge environment.
• Experience of the systems engineering process and lifecycle
• Excellent digital skills.

Advantageous Skills

• Knowledge or experience of cryogenics and systems handling liquid gas and effect on test equipment.
• Design of experiments.
• Research / exploration road mapping.
• CompEx Ex12 / ATEX
• Test Instrumentation and data capture methods.ie LabView, NI, Data logging, sensors and transducers.
