Are you a Senior Embedded Software Tester with Flight Software experience looking for a progressive role in a satellite start-up company that has received $65m financing to date? Do you want to work with a team of experts from 25 countries across the world in building a large satellite constellation? Our client our looking for this candidate to be based in Finland.
Responsibilities:
• Expose defects/bugs in flight software all across the system hierarchy by means of functional testing
• Recommend changes to flight software team to boost reliability
• Detect corner cases and/or meta-stabilities
• Document and disseminate findings
REQUIREMENTS
• M.Sc. in Software, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent area of focus, or B.Sc. with experience
• +5 years of experience working in Embedded Software Testing for relevant LEO and/or GEO missions that have actually flown, where the candidate has been involved in testing activities of flight hardware, in the unit, subsystem and/or system level
Preferred skills & experience:
• A Systems Thinker, looks at the big picture, with a top-down approach
• Passion for bricking
• Exposed to hardware design process
• Can easily read schematics
• Exposure to System level Failure Analysis and fault trees
• Exposure to FMECA
• Comfortable reading someone else's code, no matter how obscure or how little documented
• Knows how to use lab equipment such as oscilloscope and multimeter
• Creative thinking to create intricate scenarios to expose failures
• Knowledgeable in embedded communication interfaces such as I2C, SPI, RS422/485, CAN
• Knowledge of FPGA and VHDL
• Knowledge of Embedded Linux
• Experienced in Python
• Experienced in C/C++
• Experienced with ARM-Cortex-R, ARM-Cortex-A9 and Xilinx's Zynq architecture
