Job Description

KDC are now recruiting for one of our clients based in the Dorset area. We are currently looking for a Supply Chain Quality Engineer (SCQE) to support our client’s procurement and delivery manager in their quality, supply chain and audit requirements in their office. Key Responsibilities:
  • Management and completion of inspection requirements of supplied goods
  • Completion of acceptance and inspection requirements of finished goods
  • Development of Controls Plans, PFMEA, Quality Plans and sampling plans where required.
  • Ensuring manufacturing related procedures and work methods are accurate, effective and implemented.
  • Ensuring that ISO 9001 and company specific procedures are defined and understood to ensure flow down to supply chain as required.
  • Lead internal activity to support continued management of ISO 9001 certification.
  • Supporting internal and external auditing activities including third party and customer audits
  • Support to Procurement and Delivery Manager in procurement activity and general administration
  • Enhanced monitoring of key suppliers through audit and key performance indicator metric analysis – promoting improvement and ensuring objectives are consistently met.
  • Determining long term framework agreements with our key suppliers in consultation with functional stakeholders
  • Management of non-conformities through effective root cause analysis internally and externally
  • Release of product from the company ensuring all customer and regulatory requirements are met.
  • Support to Commercial for tendering processes and information requirements
  • Working within the prescribed Health and Safety processes in place within the site at all times.
  • All other aspects as required in the pursuit of Company business.
Key skills and Attributes:
  • Microsoft Access skills and knowledge of Sage would be advantageous, although not essential
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 is essential.
  • AQAP requirements would be advantageous.
  • Manufacturing background within mechanical and electronics assembly is preferred.
  • Able to interpret engineering drawings and PCB Assembly drawings is essential.
