Job Description

The project is to develop  engineering models of hydrogen powered aircraft fuel systems, either with Fuel Cells or H2 combustion.
 
As a Fuel Systems Modelling and Simulation Engineer your key responsibilities will involve the Development of models for Liquid Hydrogen based fuel systems, sub systems and system components. Liaison with internal and external specialist engineers (for example; Thermo-fluids modelling, Fuel Cell, Cryogenic)
 
Essential skills and experience
  • Graduate level, MEng / BEng (hons) / PhD
  • Matlab, Simulink
  • Amesim or equivalent.
  • Demonstrable experience with MBSE and thermodynamic simulation tools
  • Amesim / Thermo-fluid modelling for mixed phase cryogenics.
  • Aerodynamics
  • Thermodynamics
  • Fuel Cells and liquid gas modelling.
  • Electric Motors
 
Desirable / Advantageous Skills and Experience
  • Member of a professional body or institute.
  • Prior experience of modelling hydrogen or cryogenic systems in any industry.
  • Capable of working on your own or within a team of engineers, you be expected to complete your allocated work on time and within budget. Experienced; enthusiastic; accountable and reliable
