    The Job:

     

    As a Recruitment Consultant at KDC you will be responsible for finding exceptional Talent for our clients. In return they pay us money, fairly simple. When they have done that we will pay you a lot of commission (plus a great base salary all in a fun & flexible working environment). Sound good so far?

    There is a shortage of Engineers and Technology professionals, but our clients require more and more of them. This is why we exist! You will be expected to find new candidates for our clients by using your initiative to call, message, email, send smoke signals, stalk, or even plain old meet potential candidates to tell them all the brilliant opportunities we have on offer. You may have guessed that we rate the good old telephone pretty highly. If you have telephobia please save your time and stop reading here!

    Your job will be based at our offices at Bournemouth Airport. We have a monthly lunch club, and beer on a Friday afternoon (dressed up loosely as Training). Our clients also like to meet us regularly, so there is plenty of opportunity for days out.

    The Salary:

    Starting salary is £20kpa, and you will be paid commission for every success you have. Within two years you will be taking home around £40kpa, and commission is un-capped so it could be significantly more than this. Earn as much as you can! Your benefits will include, 25 days holiday, quarterly sales prizes, plus all the normal pensions stuff.

    KDC Resource are working with a leading OEM who are seeking an Project manager to take full & direct responsibility of projects being delivered on time, on cost & on quality and the supervision and spot checks of construction projects. This role is based in Broughton.

    General Responsibilities
    ·Project management of suitable projects through application of the Project Management Procedures and tools
    ·Co-ordinating the detailed design of Buildings and infrastructure for a range of projects including but not limited to major plant construction, replacement and refurbishment works
    ·Be conversant with the associated maintenance and operation of engineering services
    ·Application of industry standards of design and software to develop specifications for tender
    ·Liaising with clients, architects and other design team members to gain the optimum solution for the client's needs and best value
    ·Develop and maintain excellent client and inter MFT relationships
    ·Monitoring of installation works on site and observance of technical compliance and Health and Safety team matters
    ·Audits on process and procedures within the Building and Construction work environment
    ·Takes responsibilities for overall progress of projects and use the necessary resources to prepare reports and initiates corrective actions where necessary to assure the overall direction and integrity of the projects is achieved
    ·Full communication of relevant projects to ensure topicality to all project stakeholders and site Communications teams
    ·Ensure Multi-Functional Teams operate effectively, with regular reviews, and that minutes and actions communicated appropriately
    ·Prepare the End of Project Report (Project Operation Readiness Review) using all required information and data for this obligation
    ·Advise the team leader of any deviations from plan and recommend corrective action and help prepare any appropriate customer protection as required
    ·Identify all project risks and manage the development and delivery of any mitigation plans to protect the customer and other stakeholders through Risk Register management

    ·Maintain effective records and control of documentation using the relevant processes and tools. Ensure the ongoing topicality and relevance of team files or folders in the local community area


    Specific Responsibilities
    ·Liaise with the project team members to ensure compliance to SQCDP (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, People) Target Conditions
    ·Ensure all project issues are properly reported via escalations to the Team Leader and reported back through the SQCDP (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, People) start of shift
    ·Engage in the undertaking of building condition and service delivery surveys to support future investment planning that maintains site development and life cycle forecasting
    ·Be responsible for change / variation process control and liaise with QS and team members to ensure compliance to the approved budget and specification to secure and optimize the commercial position of Airbus
    ·Develop business cases with full cost benefit analysis to enable an unambiguous request for funding
    ·Undertake a Lessons Learnt workshop with the team when the project fails to meet the agreed standards or target conditions or when specific needs arise

    Do you have a wealth of knowledge in Aircraft Interiors? Are you looking to gain international experience? Then this could be for you!

    KDC are currently looking for experienced Interiors Group Lead to lead the Interiors team in Seattle.
    Scope of Work:
    • Lead a team of 50+ Interiors Engineers and Certification specialist to navigate through the Design, Test and Certification process for aircraft.
    • Promote and ensure personnel performance from the Seattle Office, while influencing the Nagoya Team performance where practical.
    • Manage team objectives and Goal setting, and adopt and support company Performance Measurement tools when available.
    • Promote and ensure team integration in Seattle office and with other IPT's.
    • Drive and promote Integration activities between Nagoya and Seattle teams.
    • Remove roadblocks and provide solutions to both technical and managerial challenges.
    • Ensure company processes are followed. Champion tool and process improvements to increase team efficiency where necessary.
    • Support task prioritization and achieving deliverables. Provide adequate distribution of workload to ensure projects are completed timely.
    • Communicate and Escalate to Seattle/Nagoya Leadership as appropriate.
    • Balance and Identify Resource gaps to enable on time delivery of aircraft Deliverable's. Support and drive resource gap closure.
    • Support reporting key metrics to management and Program Managers to ensure correct visibility is given to key issues

    Provide Technical direction to the Team to enable development and finalize design, compliant to all applicable requirements. This activity includes, but not limited to:
    • Evaluating the current aircraft design, with respect to compliance to the Interiors commodities and related airworthiness regulations of JCAB, FAA and EASA.
    • Conduct design review of interior components,
    • Coordinate with system suppliers for the design, certification, and development schedule.
    • Create and/or review Qualification test plans for Interiors Commodities.
    • Review Certification plan for Interiors Commodities,
    • Managing schedule of design and certification activities for Interior Commodities, with related personnel.

    Experience
    Min 15 years Engineering Experience with at least 10years in the Aerospace/Aircraft industry, with high preference for Commercial Aircraft Cabin Interiors.
    Equipment Qualification and Cabin Certification experience mandatory.
    Demonstrated people leadership experience, managing teams of 50+. Ability for focus on key deliverables and find solutions to problems, and while guiding the team forward.
    Must be culturally sensitive, with preference of previous working experience within a Japanese working environment.
    Experience managing Aerospace Supply Chains under pressure and hitting tight deadlines, with exposure to commercial negotiations and contracts preferred.
    Must be flexible with working hours to support Japanese working time zone.
    Ability to work and reside full time in Seattle, USA mandatory.
