  • Procurement Commodity Lead

    Procurement Commodity Lead - This person is responsible for management of A380 and A350 Wheels, Tyres & Brakes contracts and commercial agreements within the Landing Gear Systems Procurement Commodity team. You will be managing commercial agreements with all external suppliers. Equipment Procurement is largely responsible for procurement of complex, high value aircraft systems. This role is within the team responsible for Landing Gear Systems Procurement.

    KEY FIGURES / DIMENSIONS
    • Job holder has the responsibility for developing the relationship with suppliers.
    • Management of high value contracts.
    • No line management responsibility however will be expected to manage project within a multifunctional environment.

    MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES (within organisational area)
    • Support robust, cross-functional, collaborative working relationships between Procurement, internal and supplier based teams. This will be achieved by supporting the Multi-Functional Team requirements, to deliver business results.
    • Commercial management, ensuring commercial integrity of agreements for new or existing development programmes.
    • Be responsible for leading negotiations on contract development, supplier and claims or retrofit actions.
    • Ensure supplier programme developments are achieved to time and cost, incorporat-ing applicable processes.
    • Identify value creation opportunities and deliver cost reduction programmes on exist-ing contracts and maximise purchasing leverage on new programmes.
    • Ensure working practices are aligned to Airbus Procurement processes and proce-dures.

    MAJOR END RESULTS
    • Negotiation of contractual agreements / amendments.
    • Ensure project commercial budget challenges are met through negotiation and devel-opment of commercial leverage.
    • Ensure delivery of optimum supply chain pricing and contractual terms.
    • Satisfy customers and programme directorate requirements.
    • Support MFT expectations.

    There is a shortage of Engineers and Technology professionals, but our clients require more and more of them. This is why we exist! You will be expected to find new candidates for our clients by using your initiative to call, message, email, send smoke signals, stalk, or even plain old meet potential candidates to tell them all the brilliant opportunities we have on offer. You may have guessed that we rate the good old telephone pretty highly. If you have telephobia please save your time and stop reading here!

    If not then read on, we will give you extensive training in the latest recruitment techniques. All we ask of you is that you have bundles of charm, sales skills, persistence and general brilliance. If you have then seducing candidates and wowing our clients will be child's play.

    Your job will be based at our offices at Bournemouth Airport. There is tons of parking, and a bus stops right outside, (Toni catches it every day so we know it works!). We have a monthly lunch club, and beer on a Friday afternoon (dressed up loosely as Training). Our clients also like to meet us regularly, so there is plenty of opportunity for days out.

    You will be joining an ever expanding team of recruitment consultants - success is completely in your hands. Leading your own team is the real objective, shortly before world domination.

    The Fit:
    KDC Resource is aged between 7 and 10 years old depending on what you count but we still very much see ourselves in start-up mode with an all hands on deck approach. We have a very informal working environment, great banter, and we are a fairly close bunch. Which all means that to fit with us, you'll be sound, someone we're happy to have a drink with, basically at your core you are a good egg.

    The Experience:
    Ideally you will have spent at least 1 year as a recruiter (in-house or agency, we don't discriminate) as recruitment industry knowledge will really help you. If you don't have it, don't despair! While recruitment experience would help you, we can definitely teach you all about it, however we really need you to have at least 1 year of sales experience.

    The Salary:
    Salary is negotiable but just by meeting your target each month, you'll be taking home around £40kpa, but commission is un-capped. Earn as much as you can! Your benefits will include (as mentioned above) an iPhone, 25 days holiday, quarterly sales prizes, plus all the normal pensions stuff.
