Controls Engineer
KDC Resource are working with an organization within the Marine Industry who are looking for a keen and self-motivated Controls Engineer who is looking to progress their career!
The successful candidate will be reporting to & working closely with the Electrical Design Manager
& department Lead Engineers to specify & design the architecture of the automation package hardware & software.
The successful candidate will get to expand their knowledge/experience in the following areas;
•3-phase power and control circuits
•PLC/HMI controlled & in relay logic
•Specification and selection of components in accordance company standards,
•Part numbering and adding data to the MRP system.
•Include all design deliverables as outlined by contract / company requirements.
Essential Experience
Programming Knowledge
Desired Experience
·PLC & HMI programming packages.
·Schneider So Machine, Unity & Vijeo Designer
·Siemens Step7 & WinCC (TIA Portal era)
·Mitsubishi GX Works & GT Designer (IQ Works era)
·Electrical Design packages
·E-Plan
·AutoCAD Electrical (historical projects)
·Previous experience in producing control panel designs, and accompanying electrical design material to support the installation of the equipment.
·Previous experience in producing & testing PLC / HMI software.
·Previous experience with inverter drives.
·Marine experience is an advantage, but not essential.
Occasional overseas travel is also required.

·Prepare and convert schemes into working drawings for aircraft modifications
·Build quality relationships with suppliers and be capable of resolving any issues in a professional manner
Preferred Experience
·Working on older aircrafts or unpressurised aircrafts
·Use of Solidworks (or similar CAD package)
·Experience with technical documentation
·Capable of reading older engineering drawings

Electromechanical Inspector
Are you an electrically experienced or trained Quality Control Inspector with a background in the Space industry?
KDC are currently working with a reputable Space and Defence company in Stevenage who are looking for an Electromechanical Inspector to work in the Combined Propulsion Systems (CPS) and Satellite Assemble Hall (SAH) Department on a 6 month contract. You will be working as part of a team in an ISO class 8 cleanroom.
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for the verification of flight hardware using Drawing Work Instruction, Processes and Procedures.
• Responsible for inline harness resistance testing against requirements, and reporting inconsistency.
Required skills and experience:
• Electrically experienced or trained QC inspector with the ability to read electrical engineering drawings.
• Ability to verify the CPS and Thermal Harnesses (wiring loom) hardware to drawings and work instructions.
• Measuring harness resistance and insulation resistances, recording and entering writing data into instructions or spreadsheets.
• Testing circuits with diodes, heaters thermistors and thermostats in them.
• Patrol auditing works instructions, ACS and assembly technicians' activities.
Desirable:
• Competent use of hand measuring tools - Vernier, Micrometer.
• ESA certified soldering knowledge.
• Experience working in an ISO class 8 cleanroom.- Job Type:
