In this role the lucky candidate will be working closely with the Engineering Manager undertaking design tasks using computer aided design (CATIA V5, CAD, TRANS) and PLM data management tools. •Prepare technical proposals and quotations.
•Technically direct Design Engineers and sub-contractors.
•Develop designs into a production ready product that meets the requirement specification. Liaise with internal stakeholders and ensure that the Engineering process is adhered to.
•Check and approve drawings, CAD models and Change Notes.
•Ensure all design activity is carried out to company procedures or overriding customer requirements. Ensure project conformity to requirements.
•As a Project Owner, you will be responsible for design file management, project resource management, project schedule adherence and project budget management
•Technical Query support.
•Perform RF analysis.
•Other tasks as required in support of company strategy as directed by the Technical Director.
•Relevant Engineering degree or equivalent experience and further professional training.
•Approximately 5 years design engineering experience including project ownership.
•Complete understanding of CATIA V5 CAD and design office procedures.
•Strong and relevant knowledge of composite materials and ability to generate design solutions to meet technical specifications.
•Ability to make instinctive design decisions with limited information
•Ability to direct and influence the performance of junior employees.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' experience working on any aspect of VIP aircraft interiors, and have experience with luxury materials such as wood, composites or leather.
Your Day to Day:
·Working as part of a team for Part 21J projects. You will be working on EMS / VIP interior, including the certification and integration of new monuments, seat types, décor foils, floor coverings and PSU layouts.
·Working on other projects including refurbishment for CS/JAR/FAR aircrafts with customers requesting interior modifications, mostly cosmetic with certification of custom materials
·Representing the company for matters of engineering and certification information during customer PDR's and CDR's.
·The preparation and revision of documentation manuals including CMM's.
·On site as customer support during modifications.
